New Year, New Curriculum, New Goals

Often times I have made a goal to be better at blogging, but there has never been any joy in it for me. I've always felt like blogging was a chore. However..... I have something new to offer that I've decided to offer her. If you're on my Facebook group for Art by Geek Girl, I'm sure you've noticed that I've had weekly printable bookmarks for the Come, Follow Me curriculum.  These are not fancy bookmarks. They are literally copied and pasted from the Church's digital manual. The only thing I do is set them out so they are visually in smaller bites. Also, I leave room to answer the questions and occasionally will add a conference talk or article from the Ensign in bold. Pretty much that means my family needs to read it.

See, I am pretty much just offering to the world what I'm already doing for my family. I have two sets of bookmarks. One for the kids 8+ and one for the Littles. My kids are rewarded for what scripture study they do. If they read all the scriptures I've put in bold on the bookmark and answered all the questions, they get a Sunday Buck. If they read the extra things- conference talks, articles in Ensign or New Era, they get another Sunday Buck. Occasionally there will even be more opportunities, but most weeks, just the two are up. They save up their Sunday Bucks and can trade them in for things like a treat at McDonald's or a $2 movie or staying up late.

So, for you, we start now. I'll still be putting these on my Facebook group, which you are welcome to join, but I will be putting them here also.

*tiny change this week- Normally there is room on the bookmark to answer the questions. This week, however, there was far too much content, so instead I've numbered them. They can now be answered in order inside the bookmark.

Note the artwork is NOT by me. I left the copyright mark on there so the illustrator can be credited.
